A lady had slipped and injured her leg and arm on an icy slope beneath Sutton Bank glider station.
The rescue was a multi-agency response including North York’s ambulance service, CSRT and a RAF Sea King. 12
Team members responded to the call out and were on stand-by to deploy their specialist rope rescue equipment.
In the event the winch from the RAF sea king was successful and they took the lady to hospital.
This is the first incident of the New Year for us and demonstrated how well different emergency services can work together for the benefit of the casualty.
There were 12 team members on this call out which lasted approx. 50 mins
