Incident no.16 Clay Bank (Rescue)

May 12th 20.45hrs
The Team was called to go to the aid of a climber who had fallen whilst climbing at Raven's Scar, one of the crags above Great Broughton. The 42 year old Durham man had fallen 3 or 4 metres and sustained a lower leg injury. Members of his climbing party carried him down to the nearby forestry track where he was met by members of the Team in a LandRover. His injuries were treated by a Team doctor before the man was placed on our Bell Stretcher and carried for about a mile to a waiting ambulance.
There were 12 team members on this incident which lasted about 90 minutes.
