Incident no.32 Saltburn (Rescue)

We were called to an incident in the valley gardens at Saltburn. A gentleman out walking with his dog had followed the dog over an edge and fallen down a steep slope sufferring serious injuries. A county ambulance along with the air ambulance was in attendance. An R.A.F. Sea king helicopter was called for as the gentleman needed to be winched out of a difficult area, we moved the gentleman to a more suitable area. He was taken to James Cook hospital for treatment.
This was yet another incident where multiple agencies Rescue Team, Police, Ambulance, Air Ambulance and RAF all worked very well together for the benefit of the injured party.
There were 15 team members on this call that lasted about 1 ½ hrs.
