The Guisborough Rotary Club held an annual walk on Sunday 6 September 2009. This year the Rotary Club had nominated the Cleveland Search and Rescue Team as their chosen charity.
The walk had a flexible start time between 0830 – 1130 hrs, with most of the walkers arriving by 0900hrs. There were also 2 routes to choose from; a sedate 6 mile or a slightly more demanding 10 mile. Starting and finishing at Gribdale Gate the walks took a circular route covering the areas of Kildale and High Cliff.
Barry arrived early to sort out the PR business using V2 as a backdrop for some photos with Rotary Club Members. Dave Stubbs and Jason also took part in the 10 mile walk giving them the opportunity to speak with rotary club supporters about the Rescue Team and the local area. The weather played its part by staying overcast with very little drizzle; ideal walking conditions. Once completed Dave and Jason headed off for the Guisborough Forest Festival. September proved to be a very busy month for the team with almost every weekend having some form of team activity.
