July 1st 2010: 1300hrs. We were alerted by Yorkshire Air Ambulance about a 14year old girl on a Duke of Edinburghs'expedition who was having an astmha attack on the Cleveland Way. Her exact location was unclear until the girl's party was contacted via their mobile phone and their route worked out. The Team and the Yorkshire ambulance personell were then dispatched to the Carlton Bank area where the girl was quickly located and evactuated by ambulance. As we were wrapping this incident up we were informed about a second casualty from the same school who had sustained a head injury. He was also quickly dealt with and the Team stood down once we were happy all the members of all the parties were accounted for. 20 Team members were involved for 3 hours.
